A Perfect Day at the Iowa City Farmers Market

We had so many quality conversations with folks of all ages and walks of life. The morning was sunny and the humidity still bearable, a perfect day at the Iowa City Farmers Market!

What Matters Most to Our Community

This week we added a poll to the table and asked people to rank, from 1 to 3, what was most important to them. Human Rights really stands out as the thing most people consider to be important. It is heartening to see that our community believes in human rights!

A whiteboard poll titled “What is your biggest concern now?” Visitors added tally marks to rank six categories: Cost of Living, Elections, Global Military Aggression, The Government, Healthcare & Well-Being, and Human Rights. Human Rights received among the most marks.

It All Comes Back to Voting

Many of the great conversations centered on how important it is to VOTE! We found that most of the people strolling by (both young and old) were registered to vote, and that is awesome!

What questions would you like us to ask at the next Farmers Market?

In Solidarity,
Kristin
